Delete your account and data

You can delete your Kriya AI Keyboard account (com.kriya.keyboard) yourself, from inside the app, without asking anyone's permission and without waiting on us. This page shows both routes, and states exactly what gets erased and what the law makes us keep.

⚠️ Before you delete — two things worth 30 seconds

  1. Take your data with you. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you want a copy of your skills, profile and history first, go to Profile → Privacy & data → Download my data. You get one JSON file, instantly. After deletion we cannot recover anything for you.
  2. If you pay for Premium, cancel the subscription first. Your payment mandate lives with Google Play or with Cashfree — not inside our app — so deleting your Kriya account does not, by itself, stop a recurring charge. Cancel it first (see the subscription section below), then delete.

Method 1 — Delete it yourself, in the app (recommended)

Takes under a minute. Nothing is queued for review; the deletion runs immediately.

  1. Open the Kriya app

Not the keyboard — the companion app, from your app drawer. Make sure you're signed in to the account you want removed.

  2. Go to Profile → Privacy & data

The Profile tab is the last item in the bottom navigation bar.

  3. (Optional) Tap "Download my data" first

Your last chance to keep a copy of your skills, preferences and history. It exports as a single JSON file.

  4. Tap "Delete my account"

You'll see a plain-language summary of everything that is about to be erased.

  5. Confirm twice — and type DELETE

We deliberately made this deliberate. You confirm the warning, then type the word DELETE to prove it wasn't an accidental tap.

  6. Done — immediately

Every connected app (Google, Notion, Zoom, Slack) is revoked on the provider's side, then every row belonging to you is erased from our database in one cascade. You are signed out. There is no 30-day "cooling off" window and no soft delete — the data is gone when the screen says it's gone.

  7. Uninstall, if you want

Optional. The keyboard's local cache is app-private storage and Android removes it on uninstall. It never contained any typed text.

Method 2 — Ask us to delete it (if you can't open the app)

Lost the phone, uninstalled already, or can't sign in? Send a request and we'll do it manually.

Send this, from your registered email address

Include:

Verification: we confirm ownership before deleting anything — normally because the request arrives from the registered email address. If it doesn't, we'll ask one or two questions only the account owner could answer. We will never ask you for a password (we don't have any), an OTP, or a payment detail.

⏱️ Acknowledged

Within 72 hours of your request.

✅ Completed

Within 7 business days, and usually the same day.

📨 Confirmed

We email you when it's done.

What gets deleted

All of the following is erased permanently and irreversibly:

DataWhat happens
Your account & sign-in
Name, email, Google account link, user record
Deleted
Profile & preferences
Languages, theme, UPI ID, agent settings, "My Context" entries
Deleted
Skills
Every skill you built, every skill you installed, your key bindings
Deleted
Action history
All command previews, result previews and receipts
Deleted
Connected apps
Google, Notion, Zoom, Slack tokens
Revoked at the provider, then deleted from us
Usage counters
Daily / weekly / monthly action counts
Deleted
Entitlement record
Your plan tier and status
Deleted
On-device data
The keyboard's local cache of your skills and settings
Cleared on sign-out; removed entirely when you uninstall

Note on what was never there in the first place. There is no store of your keystrokes, your typed text, your clipboard, your contacts, or the full content of your agent conversations to delete — Kriya never collected any of it. See the Privacy Policy §4.

What we are required to keep — and for how long

Two narrow categories survive deletion, both stripped of anything that identifies you where possible. We would rather tell you exactly what these are than claim a clean sweep that isn't true.

RetainedFor how longWhy
Billing & tax records
Transaction ID, plan, amount, date, invoice — only if you ever paid us
Up to 8 years from the transaction Indian tax, GST and accounting law require sellers to retain transaction records. This is a financial record, not a record of anything you typed or did in the app.
Anonymised audit & analytics
Action names and aggregate counts, against a one-way hash
Up to 12 months Security, abuse investigation and service reliability. The readable link to your identity is removed at deletion; what remains cannot be traced back to you or re-identified.

We may also retain a specific record longer if we are legally compelled to by valid Indian legal process, or where it is necessary to resolve an active fraud or chargeback dispute. In every such case it is the minimum required, and it is deleted as soon as the obligation ends.

If you have a Premium subscription

Deleting your Kriya account does not automatically cancel your payment mandate. That mandate lives with the payment provider, so please cancel it there before deleting:

Cancelling stops future renewals. Your Premium access continues until the end of the period you already paid for. Refunds are covered in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Don't want to delete everything?

There are smaller doors, if the full one is more than you need:

Delete one action

Home → Recent Actions (or the History screen) → tap any row → Delete this action. The detail page shows exactly what was kept before you delete it.

Auto-expire your history

Profile → Privacy & data → set history retention to 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, or never delete. A background sweep enforces it even if you never open the app.

Disconnect one app

Profile → Connected apps → open the card → Disconnect. Revokes the token at Google/Notion/Zoom/Slack and deletes our encrypted copy — account intact.

Just sign out

The keyboard keeps working offline. Signing out clears the local cache and stops all AI features; your account stays as it is.

Questions people actually ask

Can I get my account back after deleting it?

No. There is no recovery window and no backup we can restore you from — that's the point of a real deletion. You can always sign up again with the same Google account, but it will be an empty new account.

Does uninstalling the app delete my account?

No. Uninstalling removes the app and its local cache from your phone, but your account still exists on our server. Use one of the two methods above to actually delete it.

Will my published Skill Hub skills disappear?

Skills you published to the public Skill Hub are unpublished and removed along with your account. Aggregate install counts stay as anonymous numbers with no link to you. If you want a skill to stay up for the community after you leave, tell us in your deletion email and we'll ask you to confirm that explicitly.

Do you delete my data from Google, Notion, Zoom or Slack?

We revoke Kriya's access to them, so we can never touch those accounts again. The calendar events, drafts or messages the agent created for you stay in your accounts — they're yours, and deleting them is done from those apps.

How do I know it actually happened?

The app signs you out and the account no longer exists — signing in again creates a fresh, empty one. For email requests, we send a written confirmation. If you want proof at any point, ask.

I asked and nothing happened.
